B’nai Torah Congregants to Serve Hot Meals to Food Insecure at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church on Erev Rosh Hashanah

On the eve of the most important day on the Jewish calendar (Rosh Hashanah), B’nai Torah congregants are volunteering their time to serve hot meals to the food insecure at a Boca Raton Church this Sunday.

Meals with Meaning:

B’nai Torah Congregants to Serve Hot Meals to Food Insecure at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church on Erev Rosh Hashanah (the eve of the Jewish New Year)

WHAT: Every Sunday, at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Boca Raton, hundreds of individuals in need (including families, senior citizens and homeless) gather for a hot meal. On Sunday, Sept 25th, about 15 congregants from B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton will prepare and serve food in honor of Erev Rosh Hashanah, the eve of the Jewish New Year.

In addition, the synagogue members have filled backpacks with toiletries, supplies, snacks, socks and more, which will be provided to all. This is on top of the 150 and 200 sandwiches prepared and delivered to the church from B’nai Torah weekly.

WHEN: Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm

WHERE: St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, 100 NE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton

WHO:  15 volunteers from B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton; Hundreds of Homeless, Senior Citizens and Families that are Food Insecure in Boca Raton. Summer Faerman, Director of the TLC Program at B’nai Torah Congregation, will be available for interviews.
