After eight years as a cornerstone of Boca Raton’s kosher dining scene, Ditmas Boca has officially closed its restaurant doors — but the beloved brand isn’t disappearing. Owner Larry, who ran the acclaimed eatery and became a familiar face to locals, announced that while the restaurant has closed, Ditmas’ catering and Shabbos meal services will continue.
Larry shared his deep gratitude toward loyal patrons, reflecting on the restaurant’s impact. “These were some of the best years of my life,” he said. “So many people came in as guests and left as family.” The decision to close, he explained, was driven by a desire to focus more on family while continuing to serve the community through catering and event services.
A Culinary Landmark in Boca
Since opening eight years ago, Ditmas Boca earned a reputation for blending upscale cuisine with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Its contemporary steakhouse menu featured expertly grilled meats, fresh fish, and creative small plates, drawing both locals and visitors. The restaurant’s stylish dining room became a go-to spot for celebrations, date nights, and community gatherings.
Ditmas Boca also played a key role in shaping Boca Raton’s reputation as a premier destination for kosher dining, joining other high-end establishments that helped transform South Florida into one of America’s strongest kosher restaurant markets.
Carrying on the Ditmas Legacy
While the closure marks the end of the restaurant’s in-person dining experience, Ditmas’ catering business and Shabbos packages will carry the brand forward. Customers can continue to enjoy the same level of quality, service, and warmth that made Ditmas a community favorite.
For many in Boca, Ditmas wasn’t just a restaurant — it was a gathering place that represented connection, hospitality, and the evolution of kosher cuisine. As Larry transitions into this new chapter, the spirit of Ditmas will live on through its continued culinary offerings, ensuring that while the dining room may be closed, the flavors and friendships it fostered remain very much alive.
