Congregation B’nai Israel of Boca Raton
Congregation B’nai Israel of Boca Raton is a Jewish congregation in the heart of South Florida. Their mission is to offer spiritual enrichment to Jews in our community through worship, study and social service.
The congregation provides religious services for all levels of observance including Shabbat and Holiday Services, Religious School, Adult Education Classes, Torah Study Groups and more. They are committed to providing their members with an opportunity to grow spiritually while maintaining their Jewish identity.
Four families and a rabbi started out in 1984 to build an inclusive synagogue. They planned a place of worship focused on the congregation and committed to “Tikkun Olam,” or world rehabilitation. They wanted a place where Jewish people of all backgrounds could come together and feel welcome, while also focusing their worship practices on their congregation and their involvement in the world.

For decades, they have inspired and connected a diverse community by expanding the richness of Jewish ideals and customs through embracing of Torah, work, and acts of loving kindness. These values make for an enriching life experience for all Jews around the world.
B’nai Israel Congregation has been delightfully inspired by Judaism and genuinely devoted to worship, learning, and global repair. It is a community of people of all backgrounds who come together to explore the beauty of Judaism in its various forms.
Their clergy-led liturgies are known to be a very powerful component of their faith and culture, with a wealth of different rituals that are celebratory and a myriad of different opportunities that serve the community. These range from early-learning programs, guest speakers, and social clubs to humanitarian initiatives that help them build bridges out into the world.
On Friday evenings, Congregation B’nai Israel welcomes the onset of Shabbat by offering an experience with the wider members of their membership and welcoming visitors who want to learn and pray in this welcoming environment. On Saturday mornings, the congregation host a Torah study group which provides an intimate, personalized experience that focuses on in-depth learning and prayer.
