Playgrounds Are For Children
Adults in Palm Beach County who do not have children with them will soon be trespassing if they visit county-owned playgrounds.
The Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners passed an amendment to the county’s parks and recreation code that strengthens the provisions pertaining to the safety of children on in parks.
Adults over 18 years of age are not allowed in playgrounds in public parks if they aren’t accompanying a child.
This new ordinance is expected to go into effect soon after it is filed with the Florida Secretary of State. It will be available for public viewing and comment.
Let’s hope it keeps bad elements out of our Boca Raton Playgrounds and makes it safer for children to play safely.
