Three Senior Boca Raton Synagogue Leaders Making Aliyah in Historic Move

Three senior leaders from Boca Raton Synagogue (BRS) — Rabbi Josh and Simone Broide, COO Jeffrey Goldgrab, and Engagement Director Talia Borenstein — are making Aliyah to Israel this summer, marking a landmark moment for one of America’s premier Orthodox communities.

Led by Rabbi Efrem Goldberg, BRS has long been a center of Zionist passion and was the birthplace of Nefesh B’Nefesh, the organization that revolutionized modern Aliyah.

Rabbi Broide, after 25 years of leadership, said he was inspired by his three daughters who already live in Israel. “This community shaped our lives,” he said. “Now we’re honored to take the next step.”

Goldgrab, whose family will move after October 7 reignited their Zionist calling, said, “It’s hard to leave, but we’re answering a lifelong dream.”

Borenstein called her move “a fulfillment of my great-grandparents’ dream,” linking her family’s Holocaust escape to their return to Israel.

This triple Aliyah underscores BRS’s enduring legacy: a community where love of Torah and Israel is not just taught — it’s lived.
